Ademola Adeleke of PDP won the Osun state governorship election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the Osun state governorship election.
The Electoral Officer in the state, Toyin Ogundipe, announced the results of the election on the morning of Sunday, July 17, The Cable newspaper reported.

Adeleke got 403, 371 votes defeating his main rival Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 375,027 votes.
The PDP candidate won 17 local governments while the incumbent governor won only 13 local governments.
The Independent National Electoral Commission is compiling the results of the Osun state governorship election held on Saturday.
So far, the opposition PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke has won 17 out of 30 local governments.

The incumbent governor and APC candidate and incumbent governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has 13 local governments.
