NG-CARES Application Portal 2022 | How to Apply for the Grant as a Nigerian
The Nigerian government has opened the application portal for the NG-CARES Grant, inviting applications from Nigerian MSMEs, individuals, agro enterprises, and any businesses affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Check out the details of the grant program below and apply right now.

About the NG-CARES Grant

The World Bank-supported COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, also known as NG-CARES, will leverage existing job creation, wealth creation, and poverty alleviation programs at the community level as part of the Nigerian government’s plan to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next ten years.
Programs backed by the Administration’s Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) include State Cash Transfer Units, Agriculture Development Agencies, and Job Creation Units/MSE Support Units.
The multi-sectoral initiative, which is funded by a $750 million loan from the World Bank, is an extension of the Nigerian Government’s response to the socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak, in addition to the current implementation of the Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP).
Purpose of the NG CARES Grant
The purpose of the program is to help underprivileged Nigerians, as well as to offer urgent humanitarian assistance to small and marginal farmers and small businesses that have been harmed by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Who is eligible to apply?

Through their state application portal, all Nigerians who have been afflicted by the Covid-19 outbreak can apply for this grant. Because this program uses the PforR delivery system, all applicants will be paid by their state government, which will then receive a refund from the Nigerian government at the end of the program.
